Fish-Brain

Fisher is of the ripe age of attitude, it's that great stage in his life where he realize that he is his own person with his own voice.  Which is so much fun...not.  Lately his big thing is to tell us 'no' for everything...we ignored it for a while, then we had to address it.  The rule is he can't scream 'no' at us anymore...so the other day I was trying to get him dressed and instead of yelling 'no' at me he throws both arm in the air yelling 'NEVER!!!!', he continued this throughout the day...he found a loop hole in our rules already.  Is this just the beginning?  Am I going to spend the rest of the next 2 decades trying to out-smart my kids?  I don't think I will be able to keep up...I played with lead base paint toys as a kid...he already has a leg up, he listened to classical music as a baby. I'm doomed...

Maybe the next baby should stay away from classical music...

hah hah! Sorry, its funny to me when its not my own little people doing that. And sadly yes, it is just the beginning to find loop holes in mom and dad's rules. I still remember plotting that out during school days. ;P
One thing that helps me, (not all the time though!) is trying to distract them or make a game out of it. Be silly with what he says or start putting his clothes on you. "Oh you'll NEVER wear this shirt? I guess Mommy gets to! And then put the shirt on your foot or arm." That usually gets my little ones to laugh and hopefully a game will continue until they are all dressed. Good luck!

Doesn't that make you want to laugh and pull your hair out at the same time?!
